Dr. Michael Anderson
Dr. Anderson comes to Kulshan Veterinary Hospital from the state of Minnesota where he was born and raised. He graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1978. He is interested in all aspects of dairy medicine and surgery as well as new world camelids. He is a member of numerous organizations including the AABP, AASRP, NMC, AVMA and the WSVMA.
In his spare time, Mike is an avid golfer and skier. He also likes to spend time in the garden.
Dr. Jennifer Christey
Dr. Christey is a University of Tennessee graduate and originally from Bellevue. Jennifer's special interests in skin disease, exotics and behavioral issues have spurred her to acquire experience with several specialists during her academic training. These are sure to be excellent resources for her as she provides veterinary care for your pets.
Dr. Gale DeJong
Dr. DeJong was born and raised in Lynden and graduated from Washington State University in 1980. His focus is large animal medicine with an emphasis in dairy production medicine and nutrition. He is a member of the AABP, AVMA and the WSVMA.
In his free time, Gale enjoys spending time with his family, fishing and participating in water sports.
Dr. Robin Eggenberger
Dr. Eggenberger originally hails from Colorado, but moved to Washington with her family as a young girl. She came to Kulshan right after graduating from Washington State University in 1991. Currently, Robin is on extended leave raising her family, but fills in when the need arises.
Robin is currently doing what she cherishes most, raising her family. Robin also enjoys hiking and being outdoors.
Dr. Kevin Erickson
Dr. Erickson didn't travel far when he entered the world of veterinary medicine. He was born and raised in Ferndale and received his veterinary degree from Washington State University in 1990. During the course of his career, he has done both large and small animal medicine. His love for surgery was the major factor resulting in his current position which is primarily practicing small animal medicine with a special interest in orthopedic surgery.
When he is not fixing pets, Kevin can usually be found perusing the keys of his computer. He and his wife, Robin, have three young boys and enjoy camping and spending time together.
Dr. Dorrie Jordan
Dr. Jordan grew up in New Jersey and attended veterinary school in Iowa. She practice small animal medicine for 16 years near Portland, Oregon before joining Kulshan Veterinary Hospital in 1992. Besides dogs and cats, her special interests include animal behavior, avian and alternative medicine.
Outside of work, Dorrie enjoys climbing and hiking with her husband, reading, volunteering as a big sister and taking care of her five cats.
Dr. W. David Hardman
Dr. Hardman was born in Columbia, South Carolina and raised near Baker City, Oregon. He graduated from Washington State in 1969. His special interests lie in bovine medicine and he is a member of the AABP, AVMA and the WSVMA.
Dave and his wife, Paula, live in Lynden and have two grown children. Aside from work, Dave enjoys upland bird hunting and rowing. He is a member of the United Methodist Church. He also enjoys spending time with his two canine companions, Molly and Jack.
Dr. Gordon Plotts
Dr. Plotts was born in Forsyth, Montana and grew up in southeast Montana near the town of Custer. He is a Washington State University graduate and currently practicing primarily large animal medicine. He also has a keen interest in small animal orthopedic surgery. He is a member of the AABP, AAEP and AVMA.
In his spare time, Gordon enjoys biciycling and boating.
Dr. Karen Rounds
Dr. Rounds is a Whatcom County native having grown up in Bellingham. She received her veterinary degree from Washington State University in 1993. After an internship in Ontario, Canada and practicing in Oregon, she returned to Whatcom County in 1996.
Karen's outside interests include hiking, folk dancing and traveling.
Dr. David Sauter
Dr. Sauter is another Minnesota native that has moved out west. He graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1987. Following graduation he did an intership at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. After this internship, he continued to work exclusively with horses for another five years in Kentucky before joining Kulshan Veterinary Hospital. He is a member of the AAEP, AVMA and the WSVMA.
Outside of veterinary medicine, David enjoys hiking, photography and spoiling his two daughters.
Dr. Paul Schwab
Dr. Schwab comes to Kulshan from Oklahoma where he was born and raised. He graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1996. He enjoys many aspects of large animal medicine encompassing equine, dairy and small ruminant practice. He is a member of the AABP, AAEP and AVMA.
In his spare time, Paul enjoys many outdoor activities including mountain biking, skiing and traveling. He also enjoys cooking.
Dr. Perry Stanfield
Dr. Stanfield was born in Great Falls, Montana and grew up in Coupeville, Washington on Whidbey Island. He graduated from Washington State University in 1987. He enjoys doing all aspects of large animal medicine and has a special interest in bovine embryo transfer work. He is a member of the American Embryo Transfer Society, AABP, AVMA and the WSVMA.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Perry enjoys basketball, hiking, camping and watching kids sporting events.
Dr. Lynn Sutherland-Kalsbeek
Dr. Sutherland-Kalsbeek was recently certified in veterinary accupuncture and is eagerly advancing veterinary care at Kulshan in the realm of alternative medicine.
